HOW IS THE JOURNEY DIFFERENT?

Most people who are trying to grow in their faith will attend a small group, a Bible study or something similar. The Journey is specifically designed to focus on the experiential, relational growth with God that your soul is longing for.

The Journey is different because it is designed to:

Recognize that you are in a relationship with God.
…and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30

Christianity is not a religion, but a relationship. Sadly, that is not how most of us live.

Like all relationships, your relationship with God can be messy and dynamic. But it is also a place with the greatest potential for growth and renewal.

Trust the Holy Spirit to lead you to where you need to go.
This is not a cookie-cutter program. You are on your own, individual journey. The Journey supports your uniqueness, your path, and your relationship with God.

Help you to pay attention to God.
Being attentive to His voice, His will, His Word, and His presence is at the heart of what the Journey will teach you.

For commitment.
People who undertake this Journey share a unique community environment for mutual respect, understanding, and support.

The Journey provides a clear pathway.
When writing to Timothy, Paul the apostle told him: “train yourself to be godly” (1 Timothy 4:7).  Training requires a process. The Journey provides a clear process to help you focus on your relationship with God.

The Journey methods have stood the test of time.
For centuries, the saints of the Church have practiced the spiritual practices with which you will engage.

We help you focus on your personal walk with God in addition to learning and content.
Knowledge about God is important but it is all the more powerful when combined with an experiential relationship with God. That loving relationship is the power that transforms lives.

See what difference this has made in the lives of past Journey attendees.
